Borneo - truly malayAsia
Another trip to Sarawak... looks like this wonderful Borneo land keeps calling me back year after year. This time its to Miri, Shell in particular. I really like this land, the people and weather. Whenever, we talk to Sarawakians... they say it’s a boring place and nothing much to do. Not for me!!!
I am one of those who love the jungle, waterfalls and the quiet life. There are so many things happening in the jungle... how can we say its boring? No way. One thing for sure... the clean air is so refreshing and cool. And you really can feel the peace and tranquility. There is no kiasu drivers, bad jams, super hot afternoons and badly planned cities.
The Sarawakians are very special, they pride in their unity and togetherness. I think there is more unity among Malaysians in Sabah and Sarawak than Peninsular Malaysia. They can identify themselves as Sarawakians so well that its hard to distinguish the various races and indigenous groups. Wonderful, peace loving and super nice folks.
