zidane... its okei... I can relate..

Zidane, what you did... is right.

110% right... even if its against FIFA rules... even if it means sending off... even if it means France loosing the Cup. I know and every other non-Italian knows you are absolutely spot on ... that Italian rat deserves more than a head butt... you should have embarassed him with a face spit too. Insulting opposing players in any game is so low... there is no honour or grace in that. If FIFA does not stop this... then international football is a disgraceful game... you just cannot get away with personal or religious insults. Many of the greats... the brilliant ... don't care about what happens on the field... its what happens in life that matters most. Let the truth speak for itself. If that Italian rat said a racist slur or cursed your family member then no World Cup game should tolerate such behaviour. Its not the red card that you deserve that day... you deserve respect.

France in the FINALS... mama mia...

WOOOO HOOOOOO.....

They better play better than this if wanna beat the Italians. France took a lot of risks against the Portugese and can count their luck with some near misses. Barthez is playing like a fool again, missing some important shots and fumbling at the goal line. Against the Italians you cannot afford to make these mistakes. Well done France... you can go all the way!!!

Mapping concepts ... getting started...

In additionto my earlier entries about plan or map features (point, line and polygon)... there are other technical factors that define them for users (i.e. engineer, surveyor, urban planner etc). These include scale, resolution, accuracy and projection.

Map Scale - to diplay these map features (point, line and polygon) that represent object on the earth surface (i.e. waterpipe valves, roads and buildings) the area must be reduced. The extent of reduction is expressed as a ratio. For example 1 cm = 2000 m is also defined as 1:2000. Map scale indicates how much the given area was reduced. For the same size map, features on a small scale map (1:100000) will be smaller than on a large scale map (1:1500). Each scale represents what you can and cannot see in a plan or map. You can see more details in a large scale map than in a small scale map.

Map Resolution - this refers to how accurately the location and shape of map features can be depicted for a given map scale. Of course... in other words... scale affects resolution. In larger scale maps, the resolutions matches closer to ground survey. The minimum sizes and dimensions are sometimes called minimum mapping units.

what did I say??

WIN AGAINST BRAZIL

What more can I say about Zidane... and what more his achievements after that game with Brazil?? To me personally... he has bypassed Maradona as the second best footballer ever in the history of this beautiful and crazy game... of course Pele is still No 1.

When it comes to football, it takes 11 players to win a match and thats what Zidane does... he inspires the rest to play like him.. if not better. Makalele, Viera, Henry, Gallas and the upcoming Ribery... are motivated by this amazing genius and God given grace. When France plays well as a team... there is no stopping them.

The next game is gonna be very interesting and close... Luis Figo and Zidane are peers... and share great similarity in many ways. They are about the same age (6 months apart)... and both have been voted best player in the world. The World Cup as we are seeing is not for boys or pretty faces... not for crying metrosexuals like Beckham or babyfaces like Messi. Its for real men.. and men of honour. These older men are working harder on the field and experience does count at the highest level of football... the World Cup. Both players were brought back from retirement to build a better team... and look where they are now... the semi-finals... would anyone have guessed this??? Brazil and Argentina out... France and Portugal in. It shows football is not about individual talent... or greatness... its about team work and the whole team united.. in spirit and vision.

France will win.
