prison break...
Some people look at building structures or mechanical parts and see the form and shape. We drive our cars and ride our bikes from one place to another without really understanding how engines work. Some very special ones look at buildings and see not only how its built... but the materials used... the artistic expression... the flow of movements and environment... and also the complex engineering formulas to construct one. I heard this from an episode of Prison Break. OK.. OK... its my latest craze now... after Sopranos. Its probably true too. I think there are such special people who can invent ideas and nourish creative design spontaneously.
It could be from childhood experiences and motivation to live life to the fullest. Its probably from how early we perceive and understand our surroundings and feelings. When we look at something... lets say the computer monitor.. do we really take time and see its form. We are so rushed and live in a dog eat dog world... there is no time to sit back. There is no time to be creative. How did the ancient Greeks, Indians and Chinese build such amazing engineering marvels? They never had calculators or engineering books. Sometimes we take for granted the amazing history of man and his achievements in art, engineering and design. Its also hard to believe how we are able to build bridges, monster ships, sports cars... or even computers.
Where do we stop and where do we go from here? Some of us have hardly started. Its hard to think we live in a globalize world with flights zipping across the whole world... sharing ideas and creativity over the internet. I am truly excited at the thought of new and better things to come. Some say its depressing to feel small in such a huge creative explosion, but to me... its the dawn of true friendship and sharing of creative ideas among citizens of this planet.
