tips to make ur windows xp faster ...

here are some new tips I found out:

1. defrag your prefecth file for faster booting up - XP monitors the programs we use regularly and rearranges these files so that most frequent applications can be loaded quickly. This is called prefetching .... best thing to do is defragment it by Click Start > Run and type defrag c: -b. Boot files will be optimised

2. unload unnecesarry DLLs from memory - normally when we close a piece of software, an y associated DLL its been using will also be terminated. This isn't always the case with Windows (wink). To ensure the DLLs are always unloaded from memory, perform this registry edit.
Start>Run, type regedit and navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ SOFTWARE\MicrosofWindows\ CurrentVersion\Explorer. Choose Edit>New>DWORD value. Name it AlwaysUnloadDll. Double click it and change its value to 1 to enable this tweak.

I have not fully tested this with ArcGIS, but it should work. Have fun and remember to backup your registry all the time. Cheers.
