tongkat ali, ah chong and maniam ...

What we have my friends … is “conflict of interest”. This phrase is never more apparent in Malaysian politics, national unity and economy today. Nobody is innocent in politics or business … and above all everyone has an agenda for themselves and their ambition. Today survival of the greediest while having the most outrageous lifestyle drives Malaysians to worst extremes. It’s not about Malay, Chinese or Indian … it’s about the powerful, greed and their interest safeguarded.

Malaysia has changed a lot since Independence … more than what our forefathers ever envisioned. Our ancestors had to live through war, poverty, famine and terrorism… but they still believed in this nation … they had hope. Was it because we had better leaders then? Were people more idealistic and patriotic then? I think not!

I believe … as Malaysia grows more mature and our population increases … it’s much harder to please everyone. Our history is full of selfless individuals … the police, army and politicians worked for a nation … sacrificing family and wealth to serve the nation. Today … when income disparity increases and unfavourable government policies dominate the economy and politics … some say even the law … everything gets skewed … everyone is suspicious. It’s not fair game anymore ... it’s not equal opportunity for all … and definitely very unreasonable.
