two wheels...

I remember passing the huge Aprilia signboard near the KL Hospital roundabout as a kid… every time thinking if I can take one of the showroom bikes for a ride. It was a huge poster… and if advertising can brainwash us… this is it… after many years… the Aprilia image still has some influence. I think Aprilia had only 2 showrooms in KL… another being Gentali in Jln Ipoh. Now the official Aprilia showroom and distributor is Moto Millia in Bangsar.

I started riding bikes early… crashing a classmates new Honda EX5 … age 15… it was my first ride and it was his father’s bike. He took the blame… and even paid for the repair... nice fella. My 2nd crash… was another friends bike… Yamaha 110 … slide on a puddle of water… and luckily it did not have any serious damage… did not tell my friend tho… coz no one will lend me their bikes again.

I had a ‘chopper’ bicycle too… with a fake gear change. I think my hatred for chopper bikes started from this bicycle actually… I can’t stand the small wheels in front and the difficult to maneuver handles. I couldn’t really race with the other kids… they had BMXs and real racing bikes… adding further to my dislike of chopper bikes since young.

flames of hate... ashes of sadness

Mumbai… Bombay… the most colorful and exciting city in India now thrown into a fire of chaos and suffocating in a cloud of panic. A city that was drenched in vibrant and modern atmosphere now soaking in sadness and anger. Unlike others… I cannot watch CNN or BBC… it makes me extremely sad to see the innocent (esp children) suffer and cry in pain on live TV.

If the reason is to fight a ‘holy’ war (or any war) … why kill innocent children and women? Is it brave or holy to hurt or inflict pain on those who cannot fight back? Some of these babies and children will never know their parents or enjoy a normal family life. What honour is it to die this way? Which God will approve of this act… so called ‘holy’ war? Why use bullets on weak, soft and old bodies?

These cowards have hearts and mind full of hate, spite, insecurity, frustration, ugliness and anger. These are the same type that killed Gandhi… and we can surely bundle them together with the genocide perpetrators in Rwanda… Nazi’s war criminals … and Palestinian Arab oppressors…

I believe ANYONE who kills children or women for ANY damn reason doesn’t deserve to be called human beings. They are nothing but egoistically pumped up brain dead morons who don’t have purpose living.

My heart goes out to all the victims… all over the world… not only in Mumbai. The world is affected by this hateful, racist and unjust killing… a crime against humanity… mankind.
